Hello Asked, To know what "Cyber Bullying" is, we must first understand the breakdown of the words and to understand it in context. Let's first take a look at the word Cyber, As we know in today's society and world, the word loosely correlates to computers, information technology's or virtual communities. Next to better understand exactly what Cyber is, we use it in a sentence. EX: She enjoys learning about cyber safety to stay secure online. As we see, the above sentence informs us that the word "Cyber" is relating to the internet as we can back this up with the context given later in the sentence when its says the word "online". We can look at the word safety next to it and then infer that that "She" is learning about computer safety, virtual safety or some sort of information technology safety as we have learned what the word "Cyber" means from what was stated earlier. Next, let's look at the root word of bullying. 'Bully" is the root word. As we once again can infer from the world of today, Bully means to attack. However, If you couldn't've analyzed that by how society is today, we can take a much simpler approach. EX: A Bull is NOT by any means a friendly animal, Why you might ask ? Well given what we know, these animals typically charge or attack people or things. Let's see how this plays into context by looking at the next sentence below to better understand the word "Bullying". EX: He decided to befriend the new student rather than join in with the others who were trying to bully him. As we see, the above sentence informs us that the word "bully" is relating to being attacked in some sort of way. We can back this up with the context given earlier in the sentence when its says the word "to befriend the new student rather than join in with the others". We can infer that "He" would rather join the other new student then to join the students who were "attacking" him. Remember, as we learned earlier, a Bull usually charges or attacks people/things. Now that we know the meaning of both words, we can understand what it means to "Cyber Bully". As we see now, In short it means that someone is attacking or hurting someone else in either a virtual or in a computerized zone. In full understanding: Cyberbullying is like being attacked online, where someone uses digital tools to harm, threaten, or intimidate others. I hope this helped :)
