Accent Reduction/American Accent Training
Not all teachers are the same! Make sure you hire a qualified and skillful teacher who is also trained in accent reduction, American accent training, ESL, or linguistics. The most important thing to keep in mind is that it's better to spend a little more money to get a good teacher than to waste your time on someone who's not qualified. If you're looking to learn the American accent, make sure you hire a native English speaker. Note how many years they have been teaching, what their teaching degree is, and if they have completed training from an accredited accent reduction program. A professional teaching license, ESL certification, classroom teaching experience, and accent reduction training are a must.
