I feel like Canada has had some problems with Racism in the last decade. Do you think there a willingness to confront racism in our systems?

The world has had a problem with racism throughout history. You would need to provide more specifics in order for anyone to properly answer your question.
That said, I don't believe I've ever encountered a legal or social system that is equal for all races. There are always individuals within a system who see the unfairness and are willing to confront racism, certainly when that system allows minorities to participate. However, changes like this would usually require a "from the ground up" overhaul--which also takes time and can be expensive-- so it can be very hard to convince a majority of people to make those changes.
