I think the question is reversed. Young people in the United States should be taught the sacrifices that have been made by previous generations of Americans to secure for them their freedom and the highest standard of living in the world. Hundreds of thousands of Americans have given their lives to preserve the nation for them. They should also be taught the differences between the political and economic systems that they enjoy the benefits of, and how many people in the world live in oppression because of the governments that run their nations.

I would start by not assuming that one generation is better than another. People are individuals. Some have what you call privileges and others do not. I would talk to people one on one, learn about their lives and their families, and ask what difficulties they have experienced. Ask what privileges they think they have. Together define privilege. Then ask for ideas on ending discrimination and talk about the ideas.06/18/21
