I worry over academic issues because I believe education is key to survival. I believe that learning is key to survival because, without learning, we cannot move forward. Learning is in everything from a "how to" guide included with an iPhone to medical breakthroughs. Humans must learn to survive. With this mindset, I am constantly growing, becoming more open to different ideas, backgrounds, and cultures. I am also continually teaching, which is what helps me grow. I enjoy learning from my students as much as I do teaching them.

I love jazz, street vendors expressions of long-lost lovers buying and selling the tender love in times past before there was a sound of criticism, of the moody, toxic rhetoric of death-filling the murderous ambience of Stefan Georg's in "Danton's Tod," or in the wilted flowers of Thomas Mann's "Death in Venice," before the death of honest Abraham Lincoln Emancipation Act and the Dixie Southern Democrats, before beaux arts display, before Civil Rights and Selma, before Grieg's "The Scream, " or "Das Geschrei" and the abolisment of critical thought.
