"I would like to know if a puppy is born with the inherent knowledge to bark and even if isolated kept in isolation from other dogs would it still know to bark. Or is this something that is a inherent potentiality that is only activated when in the company of others

A puppy is born with the inherent knowledge  to bark and even if isolated from other dogs they will bark.    Dogs bark for different reasons.  In order for one to change the dog's behavior, they must find out why the dog is barking.
