This is definitely based on your style of learning. I would say to find someone who doesn't just give you the formula or textbook answer to a problem, but instead explains the methodology behind the answer. Like in math, if you can illustrate it with a picture and be able to show based on that how the formula is derived, the tutor is great for me.

The biggest thing a tutor can have is a real connection with their student!
