The best way to go about a question like this is to think about what words wouldn’t fit, and why. For example in 1.) “Many people ___ milk at breakfast.” Using your common sense, drink would be the the answer that makes the most sense. A word like “cuts” or “eat” wouldn’t work in that context.
1. Many people drink milk at breakfast.
2. Sometimes they pour it over their cereal.
3. My dad thinks milk tastes good in coffee or tea.
4. We buy a gallon of milk at the grocery store every week
5. For lunch we drink juice and eat sandwiches.
6. My mother makes a sandwich for me everyday.
7. She toasts the bread.
8. I watch her spread peanut butter and jelly on it.
9. Then she cuts the sandwich into four triangles.
10. My friends wishes their moms made sandwiches like that for them.
