The dys- exceptionalities are affected by a certain part of the brain. Human beings are not hard wired to read.
A component that often gets overlooked with dyslexia is a language deficit, meaning - students don't understand syntax, grammar, or morphology. This is why it's extremely critical for early identification and getting rid of the ridiculous stereotypes. Children with dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyspraxia or dyscalculia need interventions as eraly as pre-school.
