Animal adolescence is filled with teen drama and peer pressure- CommonLit

which quotation from the text best supports the similarities between humans and animals in the text? A. "The authors make clear that, in a fundamental sense, adolescent animals and teen humans encounter the same sorts of challenges" (Paragraph 6) B. "Human 'adolescents frequently put themselves in danger deliberately" (Paragraph 8) C. "The result, unsurprisingly, is that adolescents can be pretty dangerous for animals, ranging from fish to birds to mammals." (Paragraph 9) D. "Teens seem driven to chase novelty and test boundaries in their own version of predator inspection, Brower said."(Paragraph 12)

Hi Hannah, I would think that "A" would best support the similarities. The statement appears to be the main idea of a paragraph AND it compares challenges that both "adolescent animals and teen humans" encounter. The other statements could be "supporting details" if you provided data to back up them up. Good luck!

Hi, Hannah. The correct answer is A since this answer directly addresses the similarities between the challenges faced by adolescent humans and animals. B and D cite examples of such challenges. C uses the word adolescents instead of adolescence, so I am not sure that supports any similarities.
