Math, microeconomics or criminal justice
Whether outsourcing carbon emissions, by stringent US environmental standards, causes a net increase in world air polution, due to lower standards in the countries where companies relocate to evade US standards?
It's a possible example of the "Peltzman Effect," (a Chicago economist), where high standards lead to a misleading false sense of safety, causing a net worse result. Some define economics as the study of unintended effects, or counterproductive effects.
Plus China, India and Mexico have so much pollution, anything the US does will have little or no effect on net world climate change anyway, regardless of counterproductive effects, another Peltzman Effect. China was wearing face masks, even before the pandemic due to excessive air polution. Mexico City has so much pollution it's equivalent to smoking 2 packs of non-filter cigarettes daily.
OR if you're into economics, even a little bit, consider the implication of the global warming model projecting costs which assume a zero interest rate
Has the global warming model ever predicted a scenario that came true? Has it been used in any other science with successful results? The hockey stick prediction seems to disprove the global warming model, yet the global warming advocates continue to ignore the failed prediction.
Compare the 1970's hysteria over global winter alarmists, predicting a winter disaster, with today's global warming hysteria. Why should we believe them this time?
Or if you're a True Believer in global warming, and harbor no sketpicism about it, then go with the topics the other post answer suggests.
