I am a current classroom teacher with experience supporting students across grades K–8, with a strong specialization in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade math and English Language Arts. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology and a Master’s degree in Education, along with a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I have been teaching for several years in a structured classroom setting and have worked with a wide range of learners, including students who need foundational support as well as those who are ready for enrichment.
In my teaching experience, I have worked with students in whole group, small group, and one-on-one settings. I regularly support students in math, reading comprehension, and writing, with a particularly strong focus on English Language Arts. I help students break down complex texts, cite evidence, and clearly explain their thinking. In math, I use step-by-step strategies and real-world connections to help students understand concepts rather than memorize procedures. I also incorporate study skills, organization, and test preparation strategies, including exposure to CAASPP-style questions, to build overall academic confidence.
My approach is centered on meeting students where they are and adjusting instruction based on their individual needs. I create a supportive and structured environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and taking academic risks. Through consistent practice, guided support, and clear feedback, I help students build both their skills and their confidence over time. My goal is not only to help students improve academically, but also to help them become more independent and successful learners.
