Question

I was a member of the American Academic Language Therapy Association for 3 years. I have helped people that had a lower than third grade reading level and helped them read above 12th grade level using Orton Gillingham resources and experience from 25 years of teaching Language Arts and Special Education. I became a therapist because of students that were not learning at schools. I also have a special interest in brain research related to learning. I have taught from preschool through the college level. I do not run from teaching challenging subjects but make it interesting and doable for students.

I would suggest that anyone who is concerned about their child's reading level avoid this person at all costs. Instead, speak to your child's teacher, talk to the school's speech-language pathologist or reading specialist, and beware of anyone who touts that they have "a special interest in brain research related to learning".

Also, you might want to select a professional who can write a sentence with proper pronoun use and who understands the principles of capitalization.
