Some unique topics for an informative presentation and one for a persuasive essay.

So, I have this assignment for my speech class where I have to come up with one informative presentation and one persuasive presentation. The informative presentation is one where providing the information is the primary function and where there is no attempt to persuade the audience to accept a solution. The persuasive presentation is where the main purpose is to get the audience to think favorably in my direction. 

Now, my question is can you possibly provide unique topics with a bit of info for one the INFORMATIVE PRESENTATION and second for the PERSUASIVE PRESENTATION. And, maybe provide four-five bullet points for each. Not super hard topics, but pretty unique ones. Thank you so much!!

Hi - when I think of information I think of an evidence based research topic like “How Did Vinegar Get a Reputation for Loosing Weight”. Persuasive might be “Why You Should Use Vinegar to Loose Weight”

You can use Google Scholar to look at research documents on the topic you want for “information” but you can also use the same information to convince others why you believe it.

Informative:

1. facts
2. evidence/proof
3. statistics

Persuaisvie:

1. Influencing others regardless of fact
2. Use of emotion to sway opinion
3. Convincing or selling an idea even if not needed (Selling ice to an eskimo)
