asked 06/21/21How is Wormwood's patient saved from Hell in The Screwtape Letters? This is a question that I have been stuck on for weeks, can someone please help me?
My question: What is one of the incidents that the patient experiences, immediately after his death, that indicate he is saved from Hell?
This question is for The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis. I've been stuck on this question for a while and it's really bothering me that I can't find an answer to this after reading the chapter several times. Can someone please be kind enough to help me? I would greatly appreciate it.
Thank you in advance.

This is the last letter of Screwtape, and it's a good one. None of the letters are long, but the answer to this question lies in other letters. He converted as an adult to Christianity, found a very good woman to be his mate, faced his fear during the war, and did his duty to his country and put himself in service to others, Found some peace with his mother, and at death, reached to God, and recognized the help of angels that were there all the time "so, it was you all along." By this redemption, he frustrated the agonized devils who were affronted by the mere idea that this human, thing of slime, could see Him.

Hi Jesset, I have not read The Screwtape Letters, so I am sharing a summary I found online: "On the one hand, for the Patient, the story ends with death, but, in dying, the Patient ascends. All his earthly struggles have been a means of gradually climbing into Heaven." I hope this helps you identify this section in the book so you can find the exact answer.06/21/21
