It's already mid-June! Many of you may be thinking about your college plans, such as where you want to attend, how you should organize your college searches, or maybe you need some assistance with college essays and personal statements.

Regardless of whether you are in the beginning stages of the college application process, don't have any ideas on where to go or what to write about in your essays, or if you are ahead of the process and would like some proofreading, I will be doing tutoring sessions for any of these topics now and throughout the summer months.

For several years I was an application reviewer for The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania where I reviewed literally hundreds of applications and essays. In my practical experience, the essay is critical to distinguish one candidate from another and I have worked successfully with numerous applicants to articulate their ideas, perspectives and stories to make them stand out in highly competitive pools of candidates. I have ample examples of situations where individuals used their words wisely and distinguished themselves and their ideas from exceptionally crowded competitions.

My documentary work on the global refugee crisis has been profiled by Vanity Fair Magazine online and numerous other publications, and I have given two TEDx Talks on the subject. I earned my MBA at The Wharton School and my Masters in Journalism at Harvard University. I have extensive experience in both creative and business writing, journalism and essays.
