Hi Pallavi! As a special education teacher, I know it can be a struggle to find engaging curriculum that focuses on functional skills. To begin, the primary focus should be on teaching life skills, self advocacy, and ensuring that the curriculum is differentiated to meet your students' varying levels of need. This may look like curating lessons based on personal care, transportation training, and ADL skills such as laundry, cleaning, and cooking. Depending on the students' age, money management and workplace readiness are also focus areas that you should consider!
