How would you describe the sound of self serve soda machines in a couple of words?

Would you say like a stream or waterfall or like a clicking noise? Give me your opinion please :)

This is a fun question! Are you allowing onomatopoeia? If so, I might go with a whooosh followed by a rumbling rherr or brumm.
