Former Spain Ex-Pat offers Spanish classes of all level
While having a native speaker as a teacher seems preferable, in my opinion a non-native speaker is better at teaching grammar because he or she had to learn it from scratch and is thus better at explaining it. A native speaker may not be able to explain the grammar because he or she just knows it second nature and is unable to articulate grammatical rules.

I respect your opinion, but as a native speaker I had to learn all areas of the language including grammar to be able to speak it correctly. On my opinion I can say that a native speaker could explain Spanish and the meanings of certain words that are used in each Spanish-speaking country better than someone who studied Spanish as a second language, because the most important thing in a language is knowing how to use words properly and with good pronunciation to understand each other, which is my main focus.07/19/23
