Yes, I do feel a conflict between the familiar experiences of many and the foreignness of my own. Sometimes, I crave more exposure to the unfamiliar and different, as it broadens my perspective and allows me to grow as an individual. However, there are also moments when I long for the comfort and familiarity of what I know.
When my experiences are not represented in media coverage, I can feel more alone. It's disheartening not to see myself or my stories reflected in the broader narratives portrayed in the media. It can create a sense of isolation and make it challenging to connect with others who may not share similar experiences. Representation in media is crucial as it helps validate and amplify diverse voices, fostering a sense of belonging and understanding among different communities.
