One way to help young children to start associating word forms with language is to turn on the captions for every type of entertainment they watch. It also helps to read to them consistently for at least :15 minutes a day. Let them try the words on, and make sure they understand that reading is a key that unlocks worlds of possibilities to read about. Also: Read what they are interested in!
