About Sarah

Bio

I like to find out how my students work, what they're interested in, and how they acquire information for a more permanent recall. I've used this approach for most of my tutoring, it doesn't just apply to art. I use this method for writing, reading, testing, remembering information, lateral thinking, problem solving, and research.

I have cross-discipline training in art, painting, printmaking, music, writing, business, finance, dispatch, woodworking, design, marketing, manufacturing, music...

I like to find out how my students work, what they're interested in, and how they acquire information for a more permanent recall. I've used this approach for most of my tutoring, it doesn't just apply to art. I use this method for writing, reading, testing, remembering information, lateral thinking, problem solving, and research.

I have cross-discipline training in art, painting, printmaking, music, writing, business, finance, dispatch, woodworking, design, marketing, manufacturing, music composition, recording and distribution, adhesives (personal favorite), copywriting, creative writing and world building. I have broad experience in fine arts, art history, illustration, multiple materials and methods, both digital, analog, and 3D. I love to keep my audiences engaged, whatever age group or experience level.
I have managed teams of artists (creative cat herding) and teams of teenagers (cats with attitudes). I am organized, efficient, motivated, detailed, and project oriented. (I have kept track of every show/exhibit I have completed since 2003.) I get along with thousands of people from all walks of life. Over 4,000 pieces of my art have been collected from people worldwide.

My life work is to make everything better than I found it. Failing that, I can also resort to sarcasm and wit. (Throw D-20 for charisma, and ask me about my list of shows and accomplishments.) I am an artist that has taken classes in almost every subject. I am super curious about the world, and love to discover and learn. If you want a really different way to see things? I'm your tutor!

I have used handwriting in many different ways. The chief one? Remembering the things I study, and being able to reference them when I'm done. Writing is a GREAT way to remember things, it's also a great way to train your hand-eye coordination as well as relax.

I also use a lot of humor.
