Patient with those who find learning English difficult.
Choosing a private tutor is as important as choosing the correct school for your child. I would like to help you with the questions that you can ask to the probable tutor and yourself as a parent that can pinpoint the best tutor for your child.
To yourself:
- Do I need tutoring for my child to improve in school or to learn the language for another situation?
- Did the teacher or school mention the need for tutoring or is it a decision taken by the parent or studente?
- How many hours per week can we commit as a family to be present in class and avoid cancelling classes or avoid distractions during class?
For the tutor:
- Which age group have you tutored most?
- Have you taught in schools or only tutoring? .
- My child needs to improve Grammar/Vocabulary/Writing/Reading, how can you help my child with this?
- How any hours and days per week do you recommend taking class to reach the goal/goals?
- How do you want me to be involved with my child's tutoring?
- Do you need any information from the school/teacher about my child?
I hope these questions help you have a better perspective of which type of questions can help you choose the best tutor for your child.

Hello,
To echo what Robin said: you can reach out to tutors directly or post tutoring jobs here on WyzAnt yourself for qualified tutors to apply to themselves. I am also available to tutor your child if you would like to contact me directly to tell me more about what you would like for your child and I would be happy to help you and your child out in anyway that I can academically/instructionally.

Identify what your child weakness is and what they are struggling with and think of a goal of where you want them to be. Once you have those answers, find a tutor who is proficient in the subject(s) their needing help in, don't be afraid to ask them questions about their teaching style, references, etc... to see if they will be a good fit for you and your child.
