When we are children, we call it unfairness, when we become adults, we call it inequity. Inequity is, by its simplest definition, a lack of justice resulting from some kind of favoritism or bias. In many societies, bias tends to favor certain kinds of people and excludes others, resulting in entire demographics ending up poorer, sicker, and less educated than others, because their society treats them differently (consciously or unconsciously.) The most famous examples from history might be the inequity between white Americans and black Americans in the 1800s, or the injustice of the holocaust. It isn’t limited to just race, though. Women have historically been denied equal power to men in their societies, governments, and households. Inequity and injustice still happens today. With a little research, you should be able to easily find plenty of modern examples. I hope this helps! :)
