Please explain the use of the in and on
 
Could you fax it please I m working on the financials statements?  or
Could you fax it please I m working in the financials?

"In" and "on" are prepositions which means they are relation words that connect a noun or pronoun to another word such as a noun. Ex.: "old in years."
