How to outline ?

I wanted to know how I can even outline this situation? I am writing an essay about a time I and a good friend have been jealous of each other over a misunderstanding. And I have to somehow relate it to this book called the importance of being earnest. When Gwendolyn and Cecily thought they were marrying the same man (earnest), but they figured out that it was two different earnests that they were marrying and became friends again. I've been in a similar situation only we weren't marrying who we thought was the same guy, just dated.

Hi Ohisj, When writing an essay you want to have a topic sentence as your Introduction, 2-3 paragraphs supporting the story and a conclusion paragraph. You can write about how a misunderstanding can affect a relationship because you experienced it. You have experienced a situation that is similar to the book. That makes a great essay. I. In the introduction, you state the problem. II- The next paragraph can be the a summary of the story in the book III. Then a paragraph can be how you had a similar experience. IV. Write a paragraph about how the book ended and was similar to how your story ended. V. Then write about what you learned from reading the book and your experience. Good luck! I hope this helps.
