Personal Connection - "I have known several people affected from cancer. It is important to me because it affects more and more people, such as children. "

Hey Kalise,
How about the current virus outbreak crisis for a cause?
Personal Connection: Right now everybody is affected by it either directly or indirectly. You may be ill or know somebody who is, or at minimum avoiding contact and staying inside your home by necessity.
Hope this helps. Let me know if you need more help or tutoring.

Thank you, this really helped. We also have to include how we can help this cause. “By washing your hands, wearing face masks properly, etc, do think that is good?” Any other suggests? Thank you again!04/16/20

My pleasure. Yeah all those are good, maybe add avoid social contact, stay in home, etc. You can mention the CDC (Center for Disease Control) for your organization.04/16/20

Cause - Ending Gun Violence in Schools
Gun violence in schools affects me directly because my school conducts "lock down" drills. They remind students that we can no longer take safety at school for granted. Many schools also have armed safety officers on campus.
Students remember the recent school shooting at Parkland. The students there witnessed their classmates and teachers being gunned down and dying. Those who were wounded and survived are scarred for life, both physically and mentally. Even many classmates who only attended Parkland that day were traumatized.
This event sparked a youth protest movement, "March for our Lives." Some students took the lead in contacting their legislators and demanding change. These students testified in hearings and spoke about this issue to the media. Parents who lost their son or daughter also spoke in both legislative hearings and granted interviews with the media.
The students and parents proposed common sense solutions to gun violence in schools. Their goal was to prevent future shootings at other schools. They reminded legislators that some students were already eligible to vote and others would be turning 18 soon. They vowed to vote for legislators who supported their cause and against those who did not.
I believe that this issue direcly affects me because school shootings continue to occur. We still must have "lock down" drills at school. In conclusion, school shootings affect many people for the rest of their lives.
