
In GRE reading comprehension is it better to skim over sentences or paragraphs that provide details?

If you are a fast reader, I recommend trying to quickly read all of the text.
If you are a slow reader I recommend reading the questions first and then going back into the text to try to find the right answers. Save questions about the main idea/big picture until the very end, because those will be the hardest for you.
For both groups, I recommend underlining, circling, or taking quick notes on things you think might be important! I.e. a thesis statement, characters, actions, or ideas that you think may be crucial to the text.
