I notice your problem says "of" the original price.

0.25p = 48

0.25p/0.25 = 48/0.25

p = $192

The jacket was on sale for 25% off the original price, which means the sale price was 75% or the original price (100-25). Let x=original price.

(.75)x = 48

x = 48/.75

x = $64
