I wasn't sure of what the order the terms had to be in.  I had them in ascending order, whereas you had them in descending order.  If the question specified that, then I would have the right order.

Yes, the order of the terms is absolutely critical.  The first term is given as -10.

The common difference is (-2), so the second term is -10-2=-12.
The common difference is (-12)-(-10) = (-2).    Right?

This is an arithmetic sequence.  In a sequence the order of the terms is important.  In an arithmetic sequence, any term may be calculated individually because the common difference makes that easy.  On the other hand, for example, the Fibonacci Sequence requires recursion (or else iteration), to determine the value of Tn.

PLZ check what you call the Common Difference.  In your sequence, Second term - First term is (-8)-(-10) = +2.

Michael, the common difference is the kth term minus the (k-1)th term.  This means that the terms DECREASE as k increases.  Ordering of terms is clearly specified by the usual interpretation of "common difference", so learn this and add it to your toolbox.  It will aid you in providing excellent help to many students down the road.

I understand that from your perspective, all the right steps were taken.  And given your assumptions, you are 100% right.  But if you put 100 math teachers in a room, and give them this problem, they'd all come up with the same answer, based on a shared understanding of what "common difference" means.  There's no room for interpretation here.

Consider it an opportunity to become a better instructor.  I've had many of them myself : )

Not to worry.  I am currently in the process of becoming a better instructor.  I am also learning new methods to answer a common question because it helps to have expanded knowledge, and to not limit myself to just one approach.
