Why is Phonics So Important in Learning How To Read, Write and in Spelling?

There are 44 sounds in the English language, learning phonics is the foundation of our language. When a child of any age understands ''why'' the letters make the sounds that they do. Research has shown a child can master the the basics of reading much faster than sight writing, with 69% scoring above the national average. Spelling knowledge is 64% higher than the national average. Phonics study also improves the students growth in reading by 2 years exceeding their chronological age.
