My name is Emma Cage and I'm a 3rd grade teacher. A child's ability to comprehend what they read is of the utmost importance. Their success in the many subjects they will meet in future grades will depend on their ability to make sense of what they read. Its also their ticket to enjoy learning about their own interests! I know from my work with students of a wide range of reading comprehension abilities that this important skill can be more of a challenge for some than others.
