No. Please don't. You can become an American as soon as you are legally eligible. Do not wait decades! I feel strongly about this issue because I witnessed my own father wait decades to take the USCIS interview when he was eligible to take it in Spanish, his first language. This, even though he had called USA home for over decades. When he finally did get his United States passport, he was only able to enjoy it for a few years. He died shortly thereafter. My humble opinion is that you not wait to complete the N-400 application for United States citizenship. Once you get your USCIS interview date, hire me so I can assist you in preparing for it. Other than my first language, English, I also speak Spanish, Arabic and some French. Make your dream of becoming an American citizen sooner than later!
