Hello Maria,
Phonological awareness involves identifying and manipulating literary elements of oral-spoken language including: words, syllables, and onsets. This can help break down different words one piece at a time syllabically and phonetically.
Phonemic awareness is the ability to notice, think about, and work with the individual sounds (phonemes) in spoken words. This includes blending sounds in order to form the syllables and individual letter sounds in different words.
I hope this helps!
