Hi Ronnie -
The key for you is to translate the macromolecules into common food items.
Some examples:
- carbohydrates is another way of saying sugar so regular table sugar (sucrose) could work.
- Starch is another form of carbohydrate (it's a polymer of glucose used by plants to store energy) found in grains so anything involving flour for example would work here
- Fats are a type of lipids (lipids are hydrocarbons that don't dissolve in water). So butter or any type of oil would work here.
- Protein comes from a variety of sources such a meat, eggs, and yogurt.
It seems like baking could allow you to make several of the combinations - think of what you can do with eggs, butter, and flour. Pasta with olive oil or butter can give you carbohydrates + lipids. I recommend making a list of a few foods under each category and then thinking about what you like to eat and going from there.
Sounds like a fun assignment. I hope you enjoy what you end up with.
