A few signs your child is struggling with reading may be:
An avoidance of reading out loud at home.
Frustration when reading to others.
Inability to read school work he or she brings home.
Reading aloud should sound similar to, or the same as speaking aloud. It should be smooth, fluent and accurate. Students needing extra help developing their reading skills will do well with early intervention.
A student who has confidence in their reading skills will perform well in other areas of learning.
