I carried my reasons deep inside my mind. The persecution I felt, I could no longer deny. I sat up and once again, my resistance to all became necessary and oh, so obvious. My inate intelligence screamed for my freedom from the sect I had been born into, lest I continue to experience the deceitful ways of the defiled and corrupted gov't that stood before me daily. Oh freedom, let me taste your beauty again.

There are reasons why America has been called a melting pot. Some immigrants have carried the religious beliefs of their sects to America, because they like the freedom offered, without persecution for their beliefs. However, in modern times, the people coming in have an innate desire to offer resistance to blending in. They believe it is necessary to deny becoming wholly integrated as an American, lest they allow their beliefs to be defiled and corrupted. So they remain deceitful "Americans", when they are really hyphenated citizens.02/25/21
