As duly noted in the student-parent testimonials visible on my tutor profile here at WyzAnt: many of my students and/or their parents have complimented me on my patience, creative, passionate teaching style, and my ability to get through to their kids in ways like no other, which always puts a smile on my face. I am very proud of that, and continue to propel those instructional-professional qualities forward during my teaching at all times with all of my pupils.

Yes, the positive comment I received the most as a full time classroom teacher was regarding how calm my classroom environment was. This is a direct reflection of my personality and personal pedagogy. I believe learning should not induce stress and anxiety and I received many compliments from parents how their child felt at ease in my classroom. I bring this into my tutoring as well, many children that need extra help have already been experiencing anxiety and stress at school. My first goal when working with a child is to bring down that anxiety so they can open their mind up to learning and unveil their strengths.

I’ve had a mentor previously mention that I’m very inquisitive, empathetic, and always face a challenge no matter how high the hurdles might get. She’d say this after seeing me struggle with my health and handling a death in my family while still continuing to finish my course work and semester along with producing high quality results in the assignments I was given at my internship during my senior year of undergrad.

After developing the singer/songwriting workshop at UCLA, I became a private consultant to lyricists, songwriters and singer/songwriters.
