#1 The number of possible combinations if you can choose from spaghetti, grilled chicken, and tuna salad for lunch, and milk or juice to drink.

(The answer is not 6 it is 7 however I’m not sure how)

#2 Possible combinations for flipping a penny then flipping a dime.

2. then think how many variations of that can you have
3. ex. spaghetti with milk is one and spaghetti with juice is another
4. there are how many variations of each meal? (2)
5. so 2 times 3 is 6
6. The answer is 6

#2 - the process of thinking is basically the same

1. how many sides does each coin have? (2)
2. how many coins do you have? (2)
3. so then 2 times 2 is 4
4. the answer is 4

So the suspect is how tall? (6 feet 4 inches) You've got it!
