Since your child is three, I would suggest that each word be used in a very simple sentence per page with a picture of the object--two at the most. You and your child could even draw the pictures together. To put all these words together in one story for this age would probably be too overwhelming and not "real world" enough for a three year old--even a very bright one.

There once was a monkey named Timothy and he had moved away from the jungle where his parents lived a few months earlier. Timothy moved to a city where every morning when he looked out the window he saw a wonderful rainbow. His job was to drive a bus and make sure that everyone made it to work and home on time. Before work, he had a morning routine and he started with breakfast. Timothy wanted to have cake and ice cream but his parents had taught him to eat healthy breakfast before a long day at work and his favorite food for that was to make a smoothie.
First, he grabbed and peeled a banana and sliced it up into pieces and put it into his blender. After that, he added strawberries, raspberries, and blackberries. Finally, he poured milk into the blender, closed the lid and turned it on. Whirrrrrr! Timothy turned the blender off and poured his new berry smoothie into his favorite cup, one with a bright red rocket on the side of it! He slurped it down while he spent time combing his hair and brushed his teeth so he wouldn't get any cavities.
Timothy still had time before work so he decided to do a little bit of exercise and started practicing his hobby. He set up a stack of blocks, three on the bottom, two on top of those, and one on the top. Then he grabbed his favorite green ball but he didn't know that when he grabbed it he accidentally knocked the key for his bus into a hat made out of some net that he had forgotten to put away earlier. He got ready to roll the ball and finally let it go! Timothy knocked them all over and decided to do it a few more times until his alarm went off warning him he was going to have to go to work in fifteen minutes.
He went to the bookshelf where he usually kept his key and discovered that it was gone! Frantically he looked all over, under the couch, inside the freezer, in the silverware drawer and even underneath the sink. Timothy was sure that he was going to be late and was racking his brain trying to figure out where it could have gone. His heart was pounding and he was bouncing around his house looking and didn't know what to do!
Timothy thought that maybe it was in his bedroom so he made a beeline to his bedroom and slipped on his netted hat. Slipping onto the ground he heard the jingle of his keys and felt relieved. He was so happy, he wasn't going to be late to work and he wasn't going to make anyone else late! Timothy made a note for himself to maybe put up a key hook on the wall so this wouldn't happen again. He pulled on his netted hat and his blue jeans and bounded down the stairs and out into the rainbow-filled sky, ready to get the day started for work.
