When the first tear is from the person’s right eye, it is a happy tear but if the first tear is from the person’s left, then it is a sad tear. So what do you think this means?

On the face of the happy child, there came a single tear rolling down the child’s left eye, however on the face of the sad child’s eye there came a single tear rolling down the child’s right eye.

The two paragraphs are contradictory. If the second is a quote, the writer may be setting up a paradox. What they mean by it may be revealed as the poem? Goes on.
