If sin(theta) < 0 and tan(theta) > 0 then:

Answer choices: 

90degrees < theta <180degrees 

180degrees<theta<270degrees

270degrees<theta<360degrees

0degrees<theta<90degrees

 

This question has gone over my head...I dont even understand what it is talking about... can someone please explain this?  With the steps?  Much appreciated.  Thanks!

θ must be in third quadrant, that is 180⁰ < θ < 270⁰
