Lifetime Experience Working with All Ages' Reading & Writing Needs
Speed reading can enhance your ability to retain important information, categorizing it as you read passages, especially nonfiction materials. In Texas, Baylor College provides summer classes for different-ages-of-learners, including children who are in upper elementary and adults, etc. People consult the Baylor site, sign up for the classes (which are held regionally in different locations). Proctor-like people oversee what the people are addressing, both fictional and true stories. You learn tips that help you cull relevant information. As a public librarian, I used to refer many families to this summer learning option. Most people were very happy with their end-results. A few were not comfortable learning in this manner. Most of them felt more confident when reading all kinds of materials.
