"Reading = more knowledge + vast vocabulary"
This is so true! Reading engages you, much more so than listening. When you read, you are actively drawn into author’s choice of words, both mentally and emotionally. Reading allows you to “read between the lines”, to become empathic with the characters, and to sharpen thinking and verbal skills. Greatly increasing your vocabulary is only one benefit from reading. Reading is also an excellent way to gain better oral communication skills. Once you become a fluent reader, you become the director and producer of the story you're reading as it becomes a movie in your head. Reading keeps your brain sharp, broadens your vocabulary and communication skills, and keeps you thoroughly entertained!
