Hello! Reading and comprehension are both great skills to know. I find that many students come to me and are not reading at the correct reading level. Make sure that the books you are giving your daughter are not going to make her hate reading. Another thing I would recommend is have her read aloud, that way you can help if she starts to struggle. Re-read the book and it will build her confidence. As she reads, ask "wh" questions such as who, what, when, where, and why. I hope this helps.
