It depends. If you’re a great reader/decoder and are able to read without difficulty in pronouncing the words, then having the words in front of you will reinforce the comprehension and help you be a speller as well. However, if words are a distraction (you have trouble reading them), then audio books are for you. Either way, visualizing while reading helps to retain memory and comprehension. Visualizing is key!
