Pre-reading is when someone looks over what they will read before actually reading. This can include looking up page counts, how many chapters are in a book, and maybe learning more about the author.
Reading is as it sounds, reading. This is when you read a book, article, magazine, etc.and take in information as you read.
Post-reading is done after you have read something and is similar to pre-reading in that you don't need to fully read something. While some text is good to reread, post-reading is where you scan through something to reinforce what was just read. You could scan parts of different chapters, short sections of a reading, or even open a book to random pages and read those while working to recall what was going on during different points of the story.
