You would have to specify the context or location. Which aerodrome? An aerodrome always has some type of flight operations taking place, but it isn't necessarily an airport, which is a term reserved for an aviation facility that specifically handles cargo or passengers. So all airports are aerodromes, but all aerodromes aren't necessarily airports. An aerodrome could be a facility for launching gliders, ultra-lights or hot air balloons for example. The term is considered very dated and is almost never used in the United States, but still remains popular in British Commonwealth countries.
