If you'd like to provide recognition to yourself or another individual for designing a website, you can always just simply place the following at the footer of your homepage:
"Website developed by FULL NAME" or "Design by FULL NAME"
An even better way to showcase your design and coding skill to a future employer would be to provide a section in your ePortfolio to briefly talk about creating the ePortfolio and list some of your web design skills. This would depend upon the type of ePortfolio you're building. If it's a full-bodied Resume or CV ePortfolio, leaving a section to discuss and showcase your design skills would add more depth to your site.
If the ePortfolio is for a specific topic and adding a section on design skills feels inappropriate, then including a simple footnote achieves your goal.
