First create a ratio. We know that 12cm on the model translates to 3cm long on the real house..So, we can set up a ratio to figure out what 7 feet on the model would be in real life.

3 cm=7 feet

12 cm=X feet

Since we had to multiply 3 times 4 to get 12, we must multiply the 7 times 4, which gives us 28. :

∴The house is 28 feet in real life.
